About the Opportunity

At Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency, we specialize in matching dedicated care professionals with environments where they can truly make an impact. We are currently recruiting a full-time Nights Support Worker to join the team at Mount View House.

Set in a beautiful rural location on the edge of Whitworth Moor in the South Pennines, Mount View House provides residential support for eight autistic individuals (males and females). The home primarily supports adults over 18, as well as 17-year-olds transitioning from children's services. Some residents may also have a learning disability or exhibit behaviors that challenge.

The core mission at Mount View is to empower autistic individuals to shatter limitations, build independence, and achieve their personal goals in a highly supportive environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

Working the waking night shift, you will be part of a compassionate team ensuring the safety, dignity, and overnight wellbeing of the residents. You will assist qualified staff with individual care plans, blending practical assistance with essential emotional support.

Your responsibilities will include:

Night-Time Care & Support: Assisting with personal care tasks (such as washing, dressing, eating, and personal care).
Mobility Assistance: Supporting safe lifting, transferring, repositioning, and movement of individuals.
Observation & Monitoring: Keeping a close, watchful eye on residents' physical and emotional wellbeing, quickly reporting any overnight changes to senior staff.
Domestic Care: Performing light housekeeping tasks (such as dusting, vacuuming, and changing bed clothes) to keep the home clean and welcoming.
Holistic Progress: Assisting residents to medical appointments and encouraging participation in social/recreational activities, while supporting family connections and liaising with specialists (like Speech & Language Therapists).

The Ideal Candidate:

Gender Requirement: Due to a genuine occupational requirement, we are strictly looking to recruit a male Support Worker for this specific position.
Excellent interpersonal skills, empathy, and a naturally caring disposition.
The ability to work confidently on your own initiative during night shifts, as well as part of a wider team.
Strong verbal and written English skills for precise monitoring and daily logging.
A healthcare qualification is desirable but not essential.
Requirement: You must have the right to work in the UK.
