This unique residential service supports young adults (aged 16+) who are profoundly deaf, have significant hearing loss, and/or manage complex needs. Navigating a world not always designed for them presents daily communication challenges for our residents. The Shift Pattern: What to Expect

This role utilizes a dedicated, highly structured shift format designed to provide continuity of care for residents:

The Shift: Starts at 10:00 AM and runs through until 11:00 PM.
The Night: You will then transition to a paid Sleep-In from 11:00 PM until 7:00 AM.
The Handover: Your shift concludes the following morning from 7:00 AM until 10:30 AM.
You will receive a clear, structured monthly rota covering a 365-day-a-year service.

The Role: Purpose & Responsibilities

No two days are the same. You will work within a fantastic, supportive team environment to deliver tailored care that champions independence and life skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Holistic Support: Assist residents with meal planning, care planning, budgeting, and maintaining a clean, warm home environment.
Community & Travel: Escort and travel with residents using the company car to access local amenities and external appointments.
Social Activities: Organize, plan, and facilitate vibrant social activities, hobbies, and day trips.
Professional Liaison: Confidently communicate and liaise with parents, guardians, and external multi-agency healthcare professionals.
Digital Logging: Use the home’s electronic care recording system daily to accurately monitor and update young people’s records. (Experience with ClearCare is a plus, but not essential).

Who We Are Looking For

An enthusiastic, patient, and highly motivated individual.
Someone who understands British Sign Language (BSL) or possesses a strong, proactive willingness to learn it.
A tech-confident professional who can handle digital care logs daily.
A flexible team player ready to work a rolling rota including weekends and holidays.
A valid UK driving licence is highly beneficial for using the service vehicle.
