About the Opportunity

Supportive Bridge Staffing is delighted to partner with The Cedars to find a dedicated, full-time Support Worker. Located in Kingsholm (just a short walk from Gloucester town centre), The Cedars is a welcoming residential service providing support for up to nine male and female residents with learning disabilities.

The core mission is simple: support residents to live their lives to the fullest, promote independence, encourage healthy wellbeing, and help them safely access the local community.

What You’ll Be Doing

You will be part of a compassionate team working together to ensure the smooth running of the service and to lift the wellbeing of the residents. While this specific role focuses heavily on maintaining an organised, safe, and comfortable environment rather than providing intensive personal care, your presence is vital to everyday life at the home.

Key Daily Responsibilities:

Promote Independence: Accompany and empower residents as they access the Gloucester community and engage in local activities.
Maintain the Living Environment: Keep internal communal spaces organized, clean, and highly welcoming to ensure a comfortable home for everyone.
Day-to-Day Operations: Assist the wider team with the daily logistics and administrative tasks required to keep the home running smoothly.
Foster Well-being: Build meaningful, professional relationships with residents, encouraging positive physical and mental health.
Team Collaboration: Work alongside a dedicated care team to ensure high standards of safety, comfort, and regulatory compliance.
