The Role: Becoming a Constant in a Child's World

Key Responsibilities:

Holistic Child Care: Facilitate and join in on daily activities, hobbies, and appointments, supporting the children in all aspects of their lives.
A Safe & Warm Home: Safeguard the children at all times while providing a calm, reassuring, and grounded presence.
Team Work & Household Management: Help the wider team keep the house a home by sharing daily domestic tasks like cooking, cleaning, and food shopping.
Administration: Manage timetables, maintain accurate daily paperwork, and write professional shift reports.

No Experience Required? We'll Train and Qualify You!

Previous care experience is absolutely not required because Compass invests heavily in your personal and professional future. You will receive an outstanding "Skills to Care" induction that includes:

Two separate weeks of comprehensive, classroom-based learning.
A full week of shadow shifts alongside experienced mentors.
Fully Funded Qualification: You will be fully supported to achieve your Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare within your first 12 months—completely free of charge—securing your career pathway and pay progression.

What We Are Looking For

Regulations: Must be 22 years of age or above (to meet Ofsted regulations for children's residential settings).
Logistics: A valid manual UK driving licence.
Traits: A naturally caring, patient individual who has the ability to remain calm, balanced, and professional during challenging, heightened situations.
