Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is recruiting on behalf of a specialist residential care service in Leicester for an experienced and dedicated Senior Support Worker.

About the Service

The residential service provides specialist support for 33 adults with:

Learning disabilities
Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
Additional complex support needs

The service is dedicated to promoting independence, wellbeing, choice, and inclusion while supporting each individual to achieve their personal goals in a safe and welcoming environment.

The Role

As a Senior Support Worker, you will play a key leadership role, supporting the day-to-day running of the service while ensuring high-quality, person-centred care is delivered at all times.

You will lead by example, mentor support staff, and work closely with residents to help them live as independently as possible.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and support the delivery of person-centred care and support.
Lead shifts, conduct handovers, and allocate daily responsibilities.
Ensure residents have up-to-date person-centred care plans and meaningful activity plans.
Support, coach, and supervise Support Workers.
Administer medication safely and in accordance with policies.
Assist with managing residents' finances in line with organisational procedures.
Complete and oversee accurate care records and documentation.
Promote safeguarding, health & safety, and regulatory compliance.
Monitor team performance and provide guidance when required.
Encourage independence, dignity, choice, and inclusion for every resident.

What We're Looking For

Previous experience as a Support Worker or Senior Support Worker is essential.
Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
Ability to supervise, mentor, and motivate a team.
Good understanding of safeguarding, care standards, and person-centred support.
Compassionate, reliable, and proactive approach.
Flexible and committed to delivering outstanding care.
Passion for supporting people to achieve greater independence and improved quality of life.
