Who We Are

Our students come from a wide range of backgrounds, all presenting with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs (SEMH). Many also have other Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), such as Autism, ADHD, and communication difficulties. As a trauma and attachment-informed organization, we utilize a closely triangulated approach that places the child at the center of every decision.

The Role

We believe in a healing, holistic approach to supporting and modifying challenging behavior. As a Therapeutic Pastoral Lead, you will embody, lead, and facilitate this ethos across the school community.

Operating within our local school leadership group, you will be co-managed by Regional SENCOs and the Therapeutic Development Manager. We are looking for an experienced professional capable of staying calm and sensitive during times of student dysregulation, with a deep practical knowledge of de-escalation frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

Holistic Development: Oversee the pastoral, SMSC, socio-emotional resilience, and personal development of our students.
Assessment & Reporting: Monitor, track, and report on the overall holistic progress and personal growth of young people.
Interventions: Run meaningful intervention groups and role-model therapeutic interactions and best practices for education staff.
Compliance & Leadership: Contribute to the annual School Improvement Plan, while maintaining a strong working knowledge of the Independent School Standards and Ofsted frameworks.
Safeguarding: Ensure safeguarding remains paramount, adhering strictly to school policies and child protection procedures.

What We Are Looking For

Experienced professionals with a proven track record in de-escalation and emotional support interventions for children.
Individuals capable of working at a leadership level within a school community.
A commitment to undergoing Continued Professional Development (CPD) training in our Assessing and Healing Childhood Trauma (AHCT) approach to help upskill the wider education team.
