The decontamination unit operates 24/7, providing essential sterile equipment and surgical instrumentation to hospitals across England and Glasgow.

Key Responsibilities

Support the Unit’s Administrator and provide comprehensive administrative assistance to the production and managerial teams.
Assist with all administrative aspects of the decontamination process for surgical instrumentation and endoscopy.
Handle customer inquiries and answer incoming calls in a professional, efficient manner.
Manage the booking system for loaning flexible endoscopes between hospitals and coordinate timely deliveries to all sites.
Coordinate repairs and service contracts under direction as required.
Handle stock management by ordering supplies, coordinating storage, and ensuring adequate stock levels are maintained at all times.

Candidate Requirements

Skills: Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Work Style: Ability to work effectively as part of a team, use your own initiative, and thrive under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
Education: GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths at Grade 4 / C or above.
Desirable Qualifications: Post-GCSE qualifications such as an NVQ Level 2/3 in Business and Administration, BTEC/OCR Nationals in business-related subjects, or a Business Administrator Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard.
