Location: Windmill Manor Care Home, 2 Fairviews, Off Holland Road, Oxted, RH8 9BD

Pay: £18.48 per hour

Hours: Bank / As and when required

Shift: Days (with alternate weekends)

About the Role

As a Bank Chef representing Barchester Healthcare through Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency, you will enjoy a fantastic work-life balance—delivering hotel and restaurant standards without the exhausting split shifts and long weekly hours. Working alongside the team, you will create nutritious, flavorful, and well-balanced menus using fresh, seasonal ingredients, tailoring meals directly around the residents to deliver true person-centered hospitality.

Key responsibilities include:

Preparing wholesome dishes to the highest quality and standards using fresh produce.
Helping manage the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence, including stock control and budgeting.
Assisting in leading, inspiring, and motivating the kitchen team.
Completing regular audits and maintaining a good understanding of HACCP.
Creating a warm, efficient, and fun environment while promoting resident wellbeing.

About You

We are seeking a warm, motivated, and passionate qualified chef driven by quality who wants to make a genuine difference in residents' lives.

Qualifications: Hold City & Guilds / NVQ / SVQ or equivalent, with a good understanding of nutrition and HACCP.
Experience: Experience working with fresh, seasonal food and helping lead or inspire a team.
