Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency has partnered with CareTech, one of the UK's largest and most respected specialist social care providers, to find a dedicated Waking Night Support Worker for a specialised service in Peterborough.

If you are patient, resilient, and want to ensure a vulnerable individual stays safe, comfortable, and cared for throughout the night, this role is for you. No previous care experience is required—if you bring the right heart, we will provide the training!

About the Service – Ellwood Road

Ellwood Road is a highly specialised, single-occupancy supported living service in Peterborough. You will be dedicated to supporting one young adult with complex care needs, learning disabilities, autism, and mental health needs, who attends full-time education during the day.

The service user is a wheelchair user, is PEG-fed, and requires comprehensive assistance with personal care, positioning, and moving and handling throughout the night.

What You’ll Be Doing

Your core focus will be delivering high-quality, person-centred night care that guarantees peace of mind, dignity, and safety while the service user rests.

Key Responsibilities:

Night-Time Monitoring: Provide attentive waking night support, monitoring the individual in line with their specific care plan.
Complex Clinical & Personal Care: Assist with personal care, skin integrity checks, PEG monitoring, and specialized moving and handling or repositioning.
Maintain Safety & Comfort: Create a peaceful environment, responding quickly and calmly to any night-time awakenings or distress.
Reporting: Keep precise, accurate records of the night's events and log clinical notes for the daytime handover team.
Rota Commitment: Work a dedicated night rota that includes evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.

Who We Are Looking For

What you need to bring:

A naturally caring, reliable, and deeply respectful approach.
Comfort and confidence working independently during quiet night hours.
Clear communication skills and basic IT/written abilities for logging nightly reports.
A willingness to work towards a Level 2 qualification in Health and Social Care (fully funded).
A full UK driving licence is a plus, but not essential.

Visa Restrictions Note: Please note that we may be unable to support applications where Home Office visa restrictions prevent candidates from meeting the full 37.5 contractual hours or specific night rota requirements of this role.
