At Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency, we pride ourselves on connecting great talent with deeply fulfilling care roles. We are currently recruiting for a dedicated Support Worker to join the close-knit, welcoming team at The Spinney.

Situated in a pleasant neighborhood just off the main road in Bamber Bridge (Preston), The Spinney is a unique, small-scale residential home supporting just three adult males and females. The residents include autistic individuals and people with learning disabilities, some of whom may navigate communication difficulties, epilepsy, or mild-to-moderate challenging behaviors.

The team's mission is to offer a warm, homely atmosphere where residents are encouraged to chase their dreams, goals, and aspirations while actively experiencing the wider world through community living.

What You’ll Be Doing

You will be a key part of a compassionate team committed to creating personalized daily experiences. Working alongside qualified staff, you will help implement individual care plans to protect the wellbeing, dignity, and independence of the residents.

Your daily responsibilities will include:

Personal Care & Daily Living: Providing hands-on personal care and aiding with essential day-to-day living tasks.
Community Integration: Encouraging and assisting residents to participate in local activities, exploring the community in the ways they choose.
Key Working: Acting as a key worker for specific individuals, helping them map out personal goals and track their progress.
Relationship Building: Developing positive, trusting relationships with residents, their families, and your colleagues.
Documentation: Maintaining accurate daily notes, charts, and updated care plans.
Safety & Compliance: Upholding safety, security, and confidentiality standards in line with organizational policies.
