About the Role

Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is partnering with University Hospitals Birmingham (UHB) NHS Foundation Trust to recruit enthusiastic and motivated Band 5 Diagnostic Radiographers to deliver exceptional patient care across our diverse Imaging Directorate.

Working across multiple clinical areas and patient pathways, you will play a vital role in providing safe, high-quality imaging for adults, children, and young people. UHB is deeply invested in staff development, offering a structured CPD programme, regular internal teaching by Advanced Practitioners, and ongoing support from the Practice & Education Team to help you advance into specialist roles like Fluoroscopy and Plain Film Reporting.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Clinical Examinations: Undertake radiographic examinations independently within your scope of practice, assessing workload demands and patient needs with a compassionate, patient-centred approach.
Safety & Compliance: Ensure all practice strictly adheres to IRR2017, IR(ME)R2017, infection control policies, and the Society of Radiographers' Code of Conduct.
Equipment & Quality Assurance: Carry out daily equipment checks, report faults promptly, and participate in departmental quality assurance programmes.
Training & Collaboration: Contribute to the training and supervision of student radiographers and Assistant Practitioners while working closely within multidisciplinary teams.

Person Specification

Qualifications (Essential)

Qualifications leading to BSc Diagnostic Radiography or DCR.
Current HCPC Registration.

Experience (Essential)

Evidence of up-to-date professional and technical knowledge.
Previous NHS and/or UK clinical experience.
Awareness of current NHS issues.
