The Dual-School Environment

This unique, term-time-only role bridges two fantastic specialist day schools located just 15 minutes apart. This creates an incredibly rewarding opportunity to provide seamless, continuous psychological care as pupils grow:

Turner Court School (Ages 6–11): 3 days per week, focusing on early intervention and primary-aged support.
Castlefell School (Ages 8–16): 2 days per week, supporting pupils as they progress into secondary education.

Both schools cater to a diverse group of young people with complex needs, including developmental trauma, neuro-developmental conditions (such as ASD and ADHD), and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties.

Your Role: The Joined-Up Clinical Model

As a Psychologist here, you are part of the most joined-up model in SEND. With a robust nationwide network of over 220 multi-disciplinary clinical colleagues, therapeutic care isn't isolated to a clinic room—it permeates every aspect of the school day.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct clinical assessments and develop psychological formulations to offer individualised interventions and engagement pathways.
Work collaboratively with teaching and residential staff to establish clinically informed, therapeutic learning spaces.
Provide regular consultation, interactive workshops, training, and guidance to the educational and residential teams wrapped around each child.
Act as a confident model, guide, leader, and trainer across both school provisions.

Who We Are Looking For

You are a highly organized practitioner who can easily build rapport with children, take the initiative, and empower the staff teams supporting them.

Requirements & Qualifications:

Credentials: Qualified Clinical, Educational, Forensic, or Counselling Psychologist with active HCPC registration.
Specialist Experience: Proven skills and experience in assessing, formulating, and supporting therapeutic interventions for children and young people with complex SEND and trauma backgrounds.
Team Support: Experience guiding multidisciplinary teams to ensure a trauma-informed, therapeutic culture is maintained.
