Apple Mews provides essential residential and nursing support for 30 adults with diverse needs, including individuals with learning disabilities, physical health requirements, and autistic adults. The dedicated onsite team focuses on creating a safe, homely, and uplifting environment for every single resident.

What You’ll Be Doing

As part of a compassionate team, you will take a personalized, person-centered approach to care. You will assist qualified staff in implementing individual care plans, helping residents build a healthier, more fulfilling future. Your responsibilities will include:

Daily Living Support: Providing practical support with day-to-day activities, promoting independent living, and encouraging residents to reach their full potential.
Personal Care: Assisting with personal care tasks, including washing, dressing, eating, and personal hygiene.
Mobility & Comfort: Helping with safe lifting, transferring, repositioning, and general movement around the home.
Well-being Monitoring: Observing, monitoring, and recording physical and emotional well-being, ensuring any changes are promptly reported to senior staff.
Community & Connection: Supporting residents to attend medical appointments and encouraging active participation in fun social and recreational activities.
Domestic Duties: Performing light housekeeping tasks such as dusting, vacuuming, and changing bed clothes to maintain a clean environment.

What You’ll Bring to the Team

Qualifications and Skills:

Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is valuable but not essential. We hire for attitude, values, and a willingness to learn!

Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, the ability to work independently or as part of a team, and the capacity to follow company policies and procedures.
Communication: Competent in written and verbal English.
Requirements: Right to work in the UK is required. Successful candidates must pass an Access NI background check (fully funded by the employer).
