Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to partner with Bradford Council to recruit a dedicated Specialist Support Worker to join Bradford's Deaf & MSI Children Service.

Working initially at the Hanson Delta Academy Local Authority-led Resourced Provision for Deaf Children and Young People, you will collaborate with specialist professionals to support communication, learning, and wellbeing for Deaf learners. Bradford Council’s vision is to provide high-quality support through transformational learning experiences so that all children and young people can flourish, make excellent holistic progress, and successfully transition to responsible citizens.

About the Role

As a Specialist Support Worker, you will play a vital, hands-on role in empowering Deaf learners and championing inclusion. Key responsibilities include:

Supporting communication, learning, and holistic wellbeing for Deaf children and young people within a specialist educational setting.
Working alongside specialist professionals and educators in an integrated, collaborative team environment.
Applying British Sign Language (BSL) skills to facilitate effective communication and learning access.
Promoting positive educational and developmental outcomes for students.

About You

We are looking for a passionate, enthusiastic individual with a commitment to inclusion and supporting positive outcomes. Essential requirements include:

Minimum BSL Level 2 proficiency.
Experience working with children and young people.
A strong passion for inclusive education, accessibility, and supporting Deaf learners.
Adaptability, warmth, and a collaborative team-player mindset.
