Are you a trained butcher or someone with professional butchery skills gained behind the counter or in a kitchen? Do you have a flair for boning, cutting, preparing, and flavoring meat to an impressive standard? Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is partnering with Morrisons to find a skilled Market Street Butcher in Penzance!

As the face of our fresh butchers counter, you will ensure high product availability, craft traditional cuts, and deliver outstanding, friendly service to every customer.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure customer confidence by maintaining high availability of fresh and pre-packaged meat cuts.
Maintain clean, attractive, and fresh food displays throughout the trading day to promote sales.
Prepare meat primals to company specifications—including cutting, pricing, weighing, steaking, dicing, mincing, boning, flavoring, and wrapping—using specialized equipment like knives, saws, mallets, and mincing machines.
Produce custom meat cuts tailored to individual shopper and online customer requirements.
Deliver friendly, helpful service that highlights traditional butchery skills and creates moments that matter.
Work flexibly across other fresh counters on Market Street to ensure all customer needs are met.

About You

We are looking for hands-on, friendly individuals who are passionate about quality food and customer care. To thrive in this role, you should possess:

Professional training or hands-on experience in butchery, whether behind a counter or in a professional kitchen.
A natural flair for boning, cutting, preparing, and flavoring different meats.
A helpful, friendly approach with a passion for going above and beyond for customers.
An active, hands-on work ethic suited for a fast-paced retail environment.
The ability to use specialized equipment safely while maintaining high standards of Health & Safety.
Note: Candidates must be over the school leaver’s age.
