Pay Rate: £14.68 per hour

Contract Type: Bank (Casual, Part-Time / Flexible Working)

Shifts: Days (with alternate weekends)

As a Bank Chef at Barchester Healthcare, you will enjoy hotel- and restaurant-standard culinary work without the grueling split shifts and long work weeks. Working alongside the Head Chef, you will help create nutritious, flavoursome, and well-balanced menus tailored directly around our residents. What You Need to Have

Qualifications: Hold City & Guilds / NVQ / SVQ or equivalent certification.
Experience: Background in working with fresh, seasonal food and helping lead, inspire, and motivate a kitchen team.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of nutrition and HACCP guidelines.
Personality: A personable, warm approach with a genuine interest in the wellbeing of our residents and the ability to create a welcoming environment.

What You Will Need to Do

Help manage the kitchen in the Head Chef’s absence.
Prepare fresh produce to deliver high-quality, wholesome dishes cooked to the highest standards.
Help create a warm, efficient, and fun dining environment.
Work effectively within budgets, complete regular audits, and manage stock control.
