About the Role

Are you looking to take the next step toward retail management while supporting your local community? Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to partner with Co-op to recruit a dedicated Customer Team Leader in Brodick on an 8-month temporary contract!

In this leadership role, you’ll lead a small, friendly team in a fast-paced store, helping to deliver essential services and making life a little easier for local shoppers every day. Whether you're working hands-on on the shop floor, supporting online services, or setting the pace for your shift, you will play a vital part in keeping the store running smoothly.

Working Pattern: A mix of opening, closing, and mid-day shifts, with flexibility across the week including at least 2 evening shifts and 1 weekend shift (either Friday after 6:00 PM, any shift on Saturday, or Sunday). Availability will be discussed further at interview.
Age Requirement: Must be aged 18 or over to authorise age-related sales and support business needs.

Key Responsibilities

Shift Leadership: Own the day-to-day running of the store by leading, motivating, and coaching the team on your shift to deliver efficient operations.
Shop Floor & Operations: Work hands-on on the shop floor and tills, setting the pace and supporting store performance through merchandising, stock accuracy, and HR processes.
Deliver Exceptional Service: Ensure customers receive a friendly, helpful, and great in-store shopping experience.
Community Engagement: Champion Co-op Membership and help the store stay connected with local and national charities.

What We Are Looking For

Passion for Leadership: A genuine passion for people, leadership, and inspiring others.
Flexibility & Example: The ability to work flexibly across a variety of shifts and lead by example.
Retail Experience: Skills in retail, merchandising, or team management (though specific management experience is not essential—full training is provided!).
