At Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency, we specialize in connecting experienced care professionals with environments where they can lead and inspire. We are currently recruiting a full-time Senior Support Worker to join the dedicated team at Beacon House in Melton Mowbray.

Beacon House is a welcoming 17-bed residential service and home to Flourish—an innovative, therapy-led addiction treatment programme. Set in a calm and comfortable environment, the service delivers personalized support for individuals navigating a wide range of addictions, empowering them to build a healthier, more fulfilling future.

What You’ll Be Doing

Stepping into a senior role, you will balance direct patient support with vital team leadership. You will assist qualified staff with the implementation of care plans while guiding your peers to deliver high-quality, compassionate care.

Your core responsibilities will include:

Leadership & Supervision: Supervising colleagues, leading team meetings, and supporting peers with their ongoing performance and professional development.
Care Planning: Leading support planning and acting as the primary point of contact in the absence of site leadership.
Financial Administration: Safely assisting with the management of site petty cash and client funds.
Daily Living Support: Encouraging independent living and assisting with routine day-to-day activities, including accompanying residents to medical appointments.
Observation & Reporting: Monitoring physical and emotional well-being, quickly reporting any changes to senior clinical staff.
Environment Care: Performing light housekeeping tasks (dusting, vacuuming, changing bed clothes) to maintain a therapeutic space.

What You’ll Bring to the Role

Previous experience working in a similar care or addiction treatment setting.
A willingness to complete a Level 3 qualification in Team Leadership and Management (fully supported by the client).
Good numeracy skills for managing petty cash and client funds.
The ability to anticipate challenges, de-escalate situations, and follow strict policies.
Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
Bonus: Prior experience specifically in drug and alcohol treatment is highly advantageous (though comprehensive training will be given).
Requirement: You must have the right to work in the UK.
