Job Details

Role: Deputy Store Manager (Store Operations)
Location: Merthyr Tydfil
Salary: £14.75 – £15.72 per hour
Store Management Premium: +£4.00 per hour extra while running the store!
Contract Type: Permanent (Flexible 25–35 hours per week)

What You’ll Be Doing

As Deputy Store Manager, you’ll work closely with the Store Manager to ensure high standards, strong sales, and excellent customer experiences:

Store Leadership: Step up to run the store in the absence of the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager.
Customer & Team Focus: Deliver exceptional customer service, support colleague training, and boost team engagement to meet store KPIs.
Operations & Compliance: Monitor stock rotation, enforce product quality checks, manage till cashing up/safe deposits, and maintain strict Health & Safety standards.

Leadership Experience: Proven track record of managing teams in fast-paced, customer-focused environments.
Operational Skills: Skilled in time management, cost control, and basic retail financial processes.
Target-Driven: Highly motivated to achieve and consistently exceed sales and efficiency targets.
Standards-Focused: Strong commitment to customer satisfaction and due diligence compliance.
Previous Store Management experience is a plus, but not essential!
