About the Opportunity

Supportive Bridge Staffing & Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a leading specialist mental healthcare provider for an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join the established multidisciplinary team at Pinhoe View.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Consultant Psychiatrist seeking a rewarding clinical leadership role within a modern inpatient mental health service supporting adult men and women with enduring mental health conditions. Working alongside experienced Consultant Psychiatrists, Associate Specialists, Nursing, Psychology, Occupational Therapy, and Social Work professionals, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional patient care while contributing to the ongoing development of the service.

Key Responsibilities

Act as Responsible Clinician for the assigned inpatient ward.
Lead psychiatric assessments, diagnosis, and evidence-based treatment planning.
Manage complex mental health cases and provide clinical leadership.
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, ward rounds, and care reviews.
Support strategic service development alongside senior management.
Work collaboratively with external agencies and ensure compliance with the Mental Health Act.
Contribute to clinical governance, audits, and continuous quality improvement.
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and meet regulatory standards.
Participate in the consultant on-call rota and provide cross-cover for colleagues when required.
Supervise and support junior medical staff and multidisciplinary team members.

Candidate Requirements

Applicants should have:

MRCPsych or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Royal College of Psychiatrists.
CCT/CESR in General Adult Psychiatry (preferred).
Other CCT/CESR specialties may be considered depending on experience.
Candidates with Approved Clinician (AC) status and significant senior inpatient experience are also encouraged to apply.
Section 12(2) Approval and Approved Clinician status.
Full GMC registration with licence to practise.
Strong leadership, communication, and multidisciplinary team management skills.
Experience working within acute inpatient or community mental health services.
