We are seeking passionate and committed Residential Support Workers to join our team in Middlesbrough. In this role, you will help create a safe, consistent, and structured family environment for young people who require additional support due to complex emotional, behavioral, or social challenges.

Key Responsibilities: What You'll Do

As a Support Worker, you will work closely with a multi-disciplinary team to implement individualized care plans that champion our residents' emotional and educational goals. Your day-to-day will involve:

Daily Support & Independence: Supporting young people with daily routines, educational goals, and recreational hobbies while actively building up their communication and life skills.
Positive Mentorship: Building trusting, professional relationships to offer emotional stability, promote positive behavior, and elevate their self-esteem.
Safeguarding & Welfare: Prioritizing the safety and well-being of the children, identifying risks, and reporting any safeguarding concerns immediately.
Digital & Physical Record Keeping: Confidently utilizing electronic care recording systems daily to document and monitor young people’s progress. (Experience with Clearcare is a plus, but full training is provided!)

Who You Are

You have a genuine passion for supporting children and young people through complex social or behavioral challenges.
You possess excellent communication skills and a naturally warm, team-oriented approach.
No prior experience? No problem! While previous experience in children’s services or residential care is desirable, it is not essential. Your values and dedication matter most.
You have a flexible approach to working hours, with full availability to cover a rotational shift pattern that includes evenings, weekends, and mandatory sleep-ins.
