We are proud to partner with Circle Health Group—Britain’s leading independent healthcare provider—to recruit a dynamic and strategic Clinical Services Manager for the Outpatients and Pre-Assessment department at Woodlands Hospital in Darlington.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the nursing team to deliver evidence-based, compassionate care tailored to individual patient needs and the health of the wider community.
Maintain a visible clinical presence as a role model by working at least one clinical shift per week and offering expert guidance and support to staff.
Oversee day-to-day clinical operations to guarantee safe staffing levels, optimal skill mix, and efficient patient flow within outpatients and pre-assessment.
Ensure full compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements (e.g., CQC, HIS, HIW), professional standards (NMC), and Circle Health Group policies.
Monitor and manage departmental budgets, ensuring the cost-effective use of resources and the achievement of key financial targets.
Provide direct line management to nursing teams, encompassing performance management, recruitment, absence management, and regular appraisals.

Candidate Requirements

Registration: Registered Nurse (Adult) with valid, active NMC registration.
Experience: Proven leadership background within a senior nursing or clinical management role in a dynamic clinical setting.
Knowledge & Skills: Strong understanding of clinical governance, patient safety, and health policy frameworks. Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage performance, and coordinate care services.
Competencies: Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills, alongside sound knowledge of financial planning, budget management, resource optimization, and data analysis.
