Position: Care Assistant - Bank - Care Home

Location: Vecta House Care Home, 24 Atkinson Drive, Newport, Isle of Wight, PO30 2LJ

Pay Rate: £14.80 per hour

Hours: Bank / Casual (Flexible working hours to cover annual leave or sick leave as needed)

Shift Pattern: Days or Nights Available

As a supportive bridge staffing agency, we are proud to partner with Barchester Healthcare to find a compassionate Bank Care Assistant for Vecta House Care Home.

In this flexible, part-time role, you will help residents enjoy each day by making sure they receive the quality care and support they deserve. Every shift is varied and meaningful—ranging from assisting with daily living, food and drink, and following personalized care plans to providing genuine companionship and one-to-one time. Key Responsibilities:

Assisting residents with daily living, personal care, and mobility needs.
Providing warm companionship, emotional support, and sharing positive moments.
Following tailored care plans accurately and maintaining detailed records.
Ensuring residents feel safe, respected, and well-supported throughout their day or night shifts.

About You

To join Barchester as a Bank Care Assistant, you will need:

Some experience of caring for older people.
A positive, can-do approach combined with excellent communication skills.
Natural empathy, a warm-hearted disposition, and genuine compassion for resident wellbeing. (Full training and development will be provided to help you thrive in your role!)
