Beacon House is a dedicated residential addiction service designed for individuals seeking meaningful, sustainable recovery from substance misuse and related behaviours. As a Bank Support Worker, you will work on a casual, flexible basis as part of a compassionate multidisciplinary team. Your role is vital in maintaining a safe, structured, and welcoming environment, helping to ensure the smooth running of the facility and supporting the overall wellbeing of the residents.

Key Responsibilities

Recovery Support: Provide practical and emotional support to individuals affected by substance misuse, helping them work toward their recovery goals, build confidence, and achieve greater independence.
Relationship Building: Develop positive, professional boundaries and trusted relationships with service users, offering consistent encouragement and person-centred guidance.
Resource Coordination: Assist clients in accessing essential community resources, including healthcare, housing, benefits, education, and training to promote social inclusion.
Compliance & Safety: Maintain accurate records, complete detailed support plans and risk assessments, and contribute actively to safeguarding and health & safety procedures.
Collaborative Care: Work closely with multidisciplinary clinical teams, external agencies, and families to ensure a highly coordinated approach to patient treatment.

What You'll Bring to the Role

Because this is a specialized role within an addiction recovery setting, prior experience is required. We are looking for:

Experience: Previous experience working in a healthcare, social care, or addiction support setting—ideally directly with individuals facing substance misuse challenges.
Key Attributes: Natural empathy balanced with strong professional boundaries, emotional resilience, and a genuine commitment to the recovery journey.
Skills: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle the daily highs and lows of a rehabilitation environment.
Flexibility: Reliability and the readiness to work flexible casual hours, including evenings and weekends.
Qualifications in Health and Social Care or Addiction Support are highly preferred but not strictly mandatory.
