Location: Wheatlands Care Home, Southfield Road, Much Wenlock, Shropshire, TF13 6AT (Supporting homes across a 20-mile radius)

Pay Rate: £14.00 per hour

Hours: 36.00 hours per week

Employment Type: Permanent (Mixed Day and Night Shifts)

About the Role

As a Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency, we are proud to partner with Barchester Healthcare to recruit a dedicated Peripatetic Care Assistant for Wheatlands Care Home and surrounding locations.

In this dynamic, travelling role, you will deliver warm, empathetic, and respectful care across a 20-mile radius, helping residents get the most out of life. You will monitor the delivery of care, contribute to person-centred care planning, and record vital health observations—all while providing wonderful companionship and meaningful one-to-one time.

Your varied responsibilities will include:

Delivering high-standard care across local Barchester care homes
Contributing to person-centred care plans and monitoring health observations (e.g., temperature, blood pressure)
Ensuring every resident enjoys dedicated support and companionship
Bringing enthusiasm, dedication, and a passion for people to every shift

About You

To join us as a Peripatetic Care Assistant, you will bring:

Experience: A strong background in care with a good understanding of elderly care and the wider healthcare industry
Qualifications: A Level 2 NVQ in Health & Social Care (desired) and GCSE English and Maths at Grade C or above (ideal)
Mobility: Either your own car or ready access to one, as travel across a 20-mile radius is required (mileage covered for travel over five miles from your main home)
Compassion: A dedicated, empathetic approach and a commitment to resident wellbeing
