About the Role

Are you friendly, approachable, and passionate about delivering top-tier customer service? Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to partner with our national retail client to recruit a dedicated Customer Assistant - Service for their Portobello Road store in Edinburgh.

In this role, you will be the welcoming face of the store, assisting shoppers at checkouts, self-serve tills, and kiosks. You will ensure transactions are processed smoothly while giving customers a great experience with a smile. Because you will also receive cross-training to support other areas—such as Market Street or Replenishment teams—this is an ideal opportunity for a versatile team player who loves variety and helping wherever they are needed.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service & Checkouts: Deliver warm, friendly service at checkouts, self-serve tills, and kiosks, making sure every shopper feels welcome and looked after.
Transaction Processing: Handle customer purchases efficiently and accurately across flexible 5-over-7 day rota patterns.
Cross-Store Support: Assist across various departments like Market Street and Replenishment as business needs require.
Query Resolution: Help support customers and resolve any questions with a helpful, positive approach.
