About the Role

Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to partner with Barchester Healthcare to recruit a passionate, versatile, and qualified Regional Bank Chef.

In this flexible regional role, you will travel across multiple care homes in the area to provide crucial kitchen cover for annual leave and sick leave. You will have full autonomy to create nutritious, flavoursome menus, take ownership of kitchen operations, engage with residents, and support team development.

Key Responsibilities

Travel to various regional Barchester care homes to support kitchen operations and food service standards.
Create and deliver nutritious, well-balanced menus using fresh, seasonal ingredients.
Engage directly with residents to tailor dining experiences to their preferences.
Work collaboratively with front-of-house teams to ensure dining areas are set to the highest standards.
Maintain rigorous adherence to HACCP, COSHH, and food safety regulations.
Note: Training on modified diets using the IDDSI framework is provided if you are new to the care sector.

About You

Qualified Chef holding City & Guilds / NVQ / SVQ or equivalent certifications.
Experience working with fresh, seasonal food and a solid understanding of nutrition.
A personable, warm approach with confidence engaging with residents.
Knowledge of HACCP and COSHH compliance.
Flexibility and willingness to travel across regional care home locations.
