Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to partner with Morrisons to recruit a skilled Market Street Baker for their Thamesmead location.

If you are passionate about baking—whether you are a trained professional or have experience working in a bakery or commercial kitchen—this is an opportunity you "doughnut" want to miss! As the face of the fresh in-store bakery, you will prepare and bake a wide variety of fresh bread, rolls, doughnuts, and fruited products using professional equipment like provers, ovens, and mixers. You will maintain attractive, high-quality displays and deliver outstanding, friendly service that highlights Morrisons' traditional baking skills.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure customer confidence in the continuous availability of fresh, high-quality bakery products.
Maintain fresh, attractive food displays throughout the trading day to promote sales.
Prepare bakery items to company specifications using professional equipment (provers, ovens, mixers) and traditional baking skills.
Mix, mould, and bake a variety of products, including fresh bread, rolls, doughnuts, and fruited items.
Deliver outstanding, friendly customer service, sharing your passion for fresh products and traditional baking.
Work flexibly across other fresh counters on Market Street to support overall store needs.

What We Are Looking For

A friendly, supportive approach with a love for meeting new people and going above and beyond.
Competent baking skills, including the ability to mix and mould dough to create quality bakery products.
Comfortable using a range of professional bakery equipment while strictly maintaining high standards of health and safety.
Enjoys staying active, working in a fast-paced environment, and using initiative to resolve customer queries.
Must be over the school leaver’s age.
