Competitive Pay: From £14.50 per hour up to £15.50 per hour if you hold a Level 3 in Residential Childcare + additional rates for overnight shifts

What Is Required From You?

Experience & Background: No experience needed—we provide full training and support! A genuine interest in supporting children with learning disabilities is essential.
Personal Attributes: Patience, resilience, emotional intelligence, a positive attitude, and a team-player mindset.
Qualifications: Hold or be committed to completing an NVQ Level 3 (or above) in Residential Childcare.
Availability: Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, bank holidays, and participate in a sleep-in rota (averaging 4 sleep-ins per month).
Driving Licence: Desirable, but not essential.
Compliance: This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and is subject to an enhanced DBS check and comprehensive safer recruitment vetting.

Building Relationships: Fostering trusting, positive relationships with children and young people.
Daily Routines: Supporting daily activities—from school runs and mealtimes to play and bedtime.
Life Skills: Helping children learn essential life skills and build their independence.
Care Planning: Assisting with care plans, routines, and risk assessments (with full training provided).
Therapeutic Approach: Handling challenging behaviour calmly and with empathy using a therapeutic approach.
Activities: Taking part in fun, active days—because no two days are ever the same!
