We are proud to partner with Circle Health Group—Britain’s leading independent healthcare provider—to recruit a dedicated and visionary Clinical Lead for the Paediatrics Ward at The Hampshire Clinic.

Key Responsibilities

Provide expert clinical leadership and strategic oversight for all paediatric and Children and Young People (CYP) services within the hospital.
Ensure strict compliance with statutory and regulatory standards, including CQC, NMC, and national paediatric guidelines.
Act as the hospital’s CYP safeguarding lead, collaborating closely with the Designated Safeguarding Lead to maintain robust child protection frameworks.
Lead the implementation of clinical governance, quality improvement, and risk management initiatives across CYP services.
Lead, mentor, and manage the paediatric nursing team, ensuring safe staffing levels, optimal skill mix, and effective rota coordination.
Guide the safe admission, care, and discharge pathways for paediatric patients while advising senior leadership on clinical developments.

Candidate Requirements

Registration: Registered Children’s Nurse (RSCN / RN Child) with a valid, active NMC registration.
Experience: Significant post-registration experience in paediatrics, backed by a strong track record in clinical leadership, management, or senior nursing roles.
Knowledge: Expert understanding of paediatric nursing practice, clinical governance, and statutory safeguarding legislation (Safeguarding Children Level 4 training is highly advantageous).
Skills: Exceptional leadership, communication, influencing, and organizational skills, with experience managing complex clinical situations.
Desirable Criteria: Postgraduate qualification in paediatric nursing or leadership, experience across both NHS and independent healthcare sectors, and involvement in CQC inspections or service innovation projects.
