You will hold vital clinical and operational responsibilities while directly mentoring Night Support Workers on your shift. About the Home: Stratford Lodge

Stratford Lodge is a specialist residential care home tailored for young adults aged 19–25 who hold an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). Every resident supported here has a diagnosis of Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD), severe learning difficulties, and other associated complex needs. The home focuses heavily on personalized pathways, helping individuals develop crucial life skills, build independence, and access rewarding vocational opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

Shift Leadership & Mentorship: Lead night shifts by example, maintaining a stable, happy, and professional environment while mentoring and guiding Night Support Workers.
Clinical Care Coordination: Oversee medical and welfare needs, safely administer medications, monitor clinical indicators (temperature, respiration, weight), and lead medical audit documentation within the Master Care Plan.
Holistic Resident Support: Provide physical and emotional support overnight. Assist residents with morning routines, personal cleanliness, and hygiene—delivering trained intimate or invasive care respectfully when required.
Domestic & Safety Supervision: Ensure the home is clean, organized, and perfectly safe during the night hours, adhering strictly to all corporate safeguarding policies.
Clear Professional Communication: Keep up to date with internal information systems and produce accurate, compliant reports for daytime handovers and review meetings.

What We Are Looking For

Qualifications: A Level 3 QCF Certificate in Health and Social Care (or equivalent recognized qualification) is essential.
Experience: Proven experience in a residential care or SEN setting, ideally supporting young adults with Autism, learning difficulties, and complex behaviours.
Core Attributes: Excellent team leadership skills, a calm and mature demeanour under pressure, and a strong sense of professional accountability.
Flexibility: Willingness to work a 42-hour weekly schedule on a shift pattern that includes rotating weekends.
