Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to partner with Myton Food Group to recruit a skilled Multi-Skilled Engineer - Nights for their ever-demanding manufacturing operation at Farmers Boy in Bradford.

In this permanent role, you will be hands-on with the maintenance, repair, and improvement of our machinery and equipment. Reporting to the Site Engineering Manager, you will ensure minimal downtime and maximum efficiency so our 24-hour operations can continue to provide top-quality products to customers safely and swiftly.

Key Responsibilities

Routine Inspections & Preventive Maintenance: Conduct regular checks on production equipment to identify and resolve potential issues before they cause disruptions.
Breakdown Response: Respond promptly to machinery breakdowns, accurately diagnose faults, and perform efficient repairs.
Adjustments & Changeovers: Carry out machine adjustments and line changeovers to support production efficiency and minimize downtime.
Calibration & Safety: Monitor and calibrate equipment to ensure accuracy, quality, and strict adherence to safety standards.
Process Improvement: Collaborate with production teams to identify productivity opportunities and provide technical expertise.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, schedules, repairs, and spare parts inventory.
Compliance: Adhere strictly to health and safety guidelines and company policies at all times.

About You

We are looking for a proactive, technically proficient engineer who can work at pace. To thrive in this role, you should possess:

Qualifications to NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent, such as ONC Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or BTEC Level 3 in Mechanical & Electrical/Electronic Engineering).
Strong, practical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems used within the FMCG industry.
Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing industrial machinery, including conveyors, motors, pumps, and packaging equipment.
A proactive approach to maintenance and a commitment to equipment reliability.
A good understanding of HACCP principles; an IEE qualification up to the 17th edition of wiring regulations is advantageous.
Excellent communication skills, assertiveness, and the ability to make decisions on the spot.
A strong "can-do" attitude and work ethic.
