## What You’ll Be Doing

As a Healthcare Assistant, you will be a vital part of a compassionate team dedicated to patient well-being. Using a personalised approach, you will help patients build healthier, more fulfilling futures.

Your day-to-day will involve:

Supporting Recovery Plans: Assisting qualified clinical staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans.
Providing Person-Centred Care: Delivering practical support and responsive care, including assisting patients with intimate personal needs (dressing, bathing, and toileting) while upholding their absolute dignity, wellbeing, and relevant healthcare legislation.
Vigilant Monitoring: Observing the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of patients, promptly reporting and documenting any unusual occurrences to senior staff or the primary nurse.
Team Collaboration: Exchanging routine information clearly and effectively with staff, patients, and visitors on the ward, both in person and over the telephone.

## What You’ll Bring to the Role

Mental health support is incredibly rewarding, but it requires resilience and strong interpersonal skills. For this role, we are looking for:

Key Traits: Natural empathy, strong active listening skills, and well-developed observational abilities.
Qualifications: Educated to a minimum of NVQ Level 1 OR hold GCSEs in Mathematics and English.
Core Competencies: Basic IT literacy, excellent communication skills, and a strict understanding of the importance of maintaining patient confidentiality.
Experience: No specific prior experience is required! If you have the right attitude and a resilient heart, full training will be provided to help you succeed.
