We are proud to partner with Circle Health Group—Britain’s leading independent healthcare provider—to recruit a skilled and dedicated Clinical Pharmacist for the Pharmacy Department at Woodlands Hospital in Darlington.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive medication reviews for inpatients and outpatients, identifying drug interactions, contraindications, and opportunities for medicines optimization.
Provide tailored, patient-focused advice regarding treatment plans, potential side effects, compliance, and lifestyle considerations.
Support safe prescribing practices through accurate medication reconciliation, clinical screening, and appropriate dose adjustments.
Authorize and review prescriptions in line with clinical guidelines, formulary restrictions, and regulatory requirements.
Promote safe and cost-effective medicine usage by adhering to local and national policies.
Collaborate closely with procurement, stock control, and pharmacy technicians to ensure continuous medicine availability and supply chain continuity.
Monitor, record, and report medication incidents, near misses, and adverse drug reactions in strict accordance with hospital protocols and MHRA guidance.

Candidate Requirements

Qualifications: Degree in Pharmacy (MPharm, BSc, or BPharm).
Registration: Current, valid GPhC registration as a Pharmacist.
Experience: Previous hands-on experience working in a clinical hospital pharmacy environment.
Knowledge: Strong, up-to-date knowledge of therapeutics, clinical guidelines, and pharmaceutical legislation.
Skills: Excellent communication, autonomous working ability, and sound clinical decision-making skills within a multidisciplinary team.
Technical Proficiency: Confidence utilizing electronic prescribing and medication administration systems (such as EPMA).
