Supportive Bridge Staffing & Recruitment is currently recruiting on behalf of Supportive Bridge Limited for an experienced Specialist Cardiac Physiologist to join their expert Cardiac Unit at Leeds Hospital in central Leeds, UK.

In this clinical leadership role, you will perform, analyze, and report on complex cardiac diagnostic procedures across the cardiac catheterization lab and pacing clinics. Supported by a Level 3 Critical Care unit, you will deliver specialized care for complex interventional procedures, lead CRM follow-up clinics, and mentor junior healthcare staff.

Role Description

As a Specialist Cardiac Physiologist, you will oversee cardiac device implantation, lead pacing follow-up clinics, and provide technical monitoring during catheterization lab procedures. Working up to 37.5 hours per week, you will ensure high standards of non-invasive diagnostic testing, manage medical equipment and stock, and lead clinical quality audits.

Key Responsibilities

Perform and report on cath lab procedures (coronary angiography, PCI, right heart cath, PFO/ASD closures) and monitor intra-cardiac signals during device implants.
Lead cardiac device follow-up clinics according to BHRS guidelines, optimizing programming, assessing battery function, and maintaining detailed patient records.
Manage non-invasive diagnostics (ECGs, ambulatory monitors, ETTs), oversee cardiology stock and medical device maintenance, and deputize for the Head of Department as needed.

Requirements

BSc degree in Clinical Physiology (or equivalent) with active RCCP or AHCS registration.
BHRS or IBHRE Cardiac Devices Accreditation with at least two years of highly specialist experience post-accreditation.
Demonstrable expertise in invasive cardiac cath lab procedures, CRM pacing management, and clinical audit leadership.
