Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to partner with Airedale NHS Foundation Trust to recruit an enthusiastic, experienced registered nurse for a Junior Sister / Charge Nurse (Band 6) position within the Emergency Department at Airedale General Hospital.

About the Role

Working within a dynamic emergency setting featuring high-dependency stretcher rooms, a 4-bay resus room, a dedicated dementia suite, and co-located X-ray facilities, you will support the nursing team and facilitate emergency care standards. Key responsibilities include:

Clinical Leadership: Supporting the Junior Sister / Charge Nurse team in delivering exceptional, high-quality care to acutely unwell patients across the emergency pathway.
Service Development: Assisting in the facilitation of the Trust's Emergency Care Standards and driving ongoing clinical service improvements.
Support & Mentorship: Participating in the training, assessing, and mentoring of students, new starters, and junior nursing colleagues.
Multidisciplinary Working: Collaborating closely with medical staff, urgent care educators, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, effective acute care delivery.

About You

We are looking for a motivated and dedicated emergency nurse who meets the following essential criteria:

Registration & Experience: Registered Nurse with a current NMC pin and significant post-registration experience in urgent or emergency care.
Competencies: Completed ED clinical skills set, Level 1 National Major Trauma Nursing Group Competencies, and Level 2 RCN National Curriculum & Competency Framework.
Skills & Knowledge: Evidence of management skills, understanding of clinical audit/governance, and a strong commitment to professional development.
