Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is recruiting on behalf of a specialist residential care service in Stafford for an experienced and compassionate Senior Support Worker.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated care professional to join a supportive team dedicated to helping adults with autism and learning disabilities live fulfilling, independent lives in a safe and welcoming environment.

About the Service

The residential service provides specialist support for eight adults with:

Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
Learning disabilities
Individuals with both autism and learning disabilities

The focus is on delivering high-quality, person-centred care that promotes independence, confidence, and meaningful participation in everyday life.

The Role

As a Senior Support Worker, you will play an important leadership role within the service, supporting both residents and colleagues to ensure outstanding standards of care are delivered every day.

Working alongside the wider care team, you will help coordinate daily support, promote person-centred care, and ensure residents are empowered to achieve their goals and live as independently as possible.

Key Responsibilities

Lead by example and support the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care.
Supervise and support Support Workers during daily shifts.
Assist with implementing and reviewing individual care and support plans.
Promote independence, dignity, choice, and inclusion for all residents.
Support residents with personal care and daily living activities where required.
Administer medication safely and in line with organisational policies.
Maintain accurate care records and documentation.
Ensure safeguarding, health & safety, and confidentiality standards are maintained.
Support, coach, and motivate team members to deliver excellent care.
Contribute to a positive, safe, and welcoming environment for residents and staff.

What We're Looking For

Previous experience as a Support Worker or Senior Support Worker is desirable.
A caring, compassionate, and respectful approach to supporting others.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Ability to motivate and guide colleagues while working as part of a team.
Knowledge of person-centred care, safeguarding, and care standards.
Reliable, flexible, and proactive attitude.
Passion for supporting people to achieve greater independence and improve their quality of life.
