Your Role: Get Out What You Put In

As Deputy Pastoral Care Manager, you will take a leading role in enabling your team to meet the complex emotional and behavioral needs of our young people.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead & Motivate: Manage, supervise, and inspire your pastoral team, facilitating staff appraisals and performance management.
Individualized Care: Develop tailored pastoral programs for individual young people through careful assessment and planning.
Partnership: Actively collaborate with families and multi-agency networks to support and resolve difficult circumstances.
Safe Environments: Apply high standards of care and robustly uphold safeguarding and child protection policies.

Who We Are Looking For

You are a resilient, flexible, and highly organized leader who understands what comprehensive pastoral care entails in a specialist setting.

Requirements:

Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ experience working with ASC, ADHD, or SEMH pupils, as well as experience working with families in challenging circumstances.
Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 in Care OR a Level 2 Teaching Assistant Qualification. (A leadership-related qualification is highly desirable).
Expertise: Solid understanding of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS), multi-agency frameworks, and relevant child protection/safeguarding legislation.
Traits: An excellent listener, a natural motivator, and a team player who can guide others through the ups and downs of SEND education.
