About the Role

As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you will use your experience to build positive relationships with our children, helping them build self-esteem and guiding them safely into adulthood.

This is a key leadership role where you will step up to support the home's management team, providing vital guidance to Residential Support Workers while ensuring the highest standards of care and compliance.

Key Leadership Responsibilities:

Shift & Team Leadership: Lead shifts effectively, provide formal staff supervision, and give practical guidance and support to the wider care team.
Operational Oversight: Manage rotas, maintain policies and procedures, and complete robust risk assessments.
Care & Advocacy: Ensure individual placement plans are meticulously followed, education is supported, and all children are thoroughly safeguarded.
High-Level Support: Engage directly with children and young people who may require higher levels of supervision and specialized support.

Requirements

To meet OFSTED regulations and operational needs, candidates must have:

Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People's Workforce (or equivalent).
Experience: A minimum of 2 years’ experience working within residential childcare.
Licence: A valid, manual UK driving licence.
Age: Must be 22 years of age or older.
