We are proud to partner with Circle Health Group—Britain’s leading independent healthcare provider—to recruit a skilled Engineering Technician – Mechanical for the Engineering department at The Hampshire Clinic.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure the prompt completion of all work orders for planned preventative maintenance, reactive responses, specialist sub-contract work, and remedial tasks.
Provide routine and specialized engineering maintenance and breakdown support across the hospital site.
Deliver competent technical, health, safety, and environmental support while acting as an exemplar of company policies and procedures.
Provide training, mentoring, and hands-on assistance to site-based technicians or engineering assistants, helping to build a strong team ethos and "can-do" culture.
Offer expert engineering support and advice to local hospital managers as required.
Maintain compliance with all mandatory training and health and safety standards.

Candidate Requirements

Certifications: Current Construction Safety Certification Scheme (CSCS) Card at the appropriate qualification level.
Qualifications: City & Guilds Part 3, ONC, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent in a Mechanical or Electrical Engineering discipline.
Apprenticeship: Time-served apprenticeship in a mechanically or electrically biased discipline.
Specialist Requirements: Willingness to act as Authorised Person (AP) and Responsible Person (RP) for Medical Gases (Medgas) as required.
Knowledge & Skills: Comprehensive understanding of health and safety guidelines, statutes, ACOPs, and L8 Legionella ACOP within hospital buildings; sound fault-finding techniques and the ability to read engineering drawings.
