About the Role

Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to partner with a welcoming, community-focused food store in Helmsley to recruit an enthusiastic Customer Team Member.

In this varied role, you will be the friendly face of the store, delivering exceptional customer service and playing a key part in making life easier for your local community. Whether you're assisting on the shop floor, working on tills, managing stock, or supporting in-store services, no two days are the same.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service: Provide a friendly, helpful, and thoughtful shopping experience, putting customers first, responding to queries, and championing Co-op Membership.
In-Store Operations: Work hands-on on the shop floor and tills, keep shelves stocked, and maintain store safety, pricing, and compliance.
Team Collaboration: Work together with store colleagues to support smooth daily operations and solve problems.
Community Engagement: Get involved in local activities, events, and charity connections.

What We’re Looking For

Experience: Formal retail experience is not essential—we provide full training!
Attributes: A genuine passion for helping people, great people skills, a positive team-oriented approach, and the flexibility to work a range of shifts.
Working Flexibility: Shifts run from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, with flexible availability across the week including at least 1 weekend shift (additional availability can be discussed further at interview).
