Key Responsibilities

Assist with daily staff allocation, rotas, and managing safe staffing levels and appropriate skill mix across the unit.
Work clinically as part of the active rota, providing expert oversight and supporting the nursing team during shifts.
Ensure the outpatient unit operates safely, efficiently, and effectively, upholding high standards of patient care at all times.
Contribute actively to clinical audits, incident reporting, risk management, and quality improvement initiatives.
Provide supervision, mentorship, and appraisal support to nursing staff and junior leaders.
Support the implementation of service improvements, innovation, and operational changes within the department.

Candidate Requirements

Registration: Registered Nurse (Adult) with valid, active NMC registration.
Experience: Significant background working within a ward, inpatient, critical care, or outpatient clinical environment, backed by prior leadership or supervisory experience.
Knowledge & Skills: Good understanding of governance, patient safety, and clinical protocols, alongside strong communication, organization, and leadership capabilities.
