Pay Rate: £13.04 per hour

Contract Type: Permanent, Part-Time (12 hours per week + regular overtime)

About the Role

We are partnering with the Co-op to recruit a friendly and community-driven Customer Team Member for their fast-paced store in Lancing. In this role, you will be the welcoming face of the store, helping deliver essential daily services to the local community—including hands-on work in our in-store bakery.

Whether keeping shelves stocked, operating the tills, or preparing fresh bakery items, you’ll play a key part in making life easier for our customers every single day.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service & Bakery: Deliver friendly, thoughtful service on the shop floor and tills, and contribute to daily operations including working in our in-store bakery.
Store Operations: Keep shelves fully stocked, check prices, monitor dates and temperatures, and maintain stock accuracy.
Community & Membership: Promote Co-op Membership and help the store stay connected with local and national causes.

What We Are Looking For

Age Requirement: Must be aged 18 or over (due to business needs involving working before 6:00 AM or after 10:00 PM, or other business-related needs).
Passion & Attitude: A genuine passion for helping people and delivering exceptional customer service.
Experience: An interest in retail and working in a busy environment. No prior retail experience is necessary, as full, paid training is provided!
Flexibility: Specific working pattern features shifts from 6:00 AM to 10:00 AM on Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday (with additional availability open for discussion at interview).
