About the Role

As a Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency, we are proud to partner with the Myton Food Group (part of Morrisons) to recruit an experienced and driven Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer for their fast-paced manufacturing site in Deeside.

Food manufacturing plants operate in complex, high-demand environments where machinery reliability is everything. In this hands-on role, you will be instrumental in ensuring smooth plant operations, minimizing downtime, and driving continuous improvement across production lines.

Key Responsibilities:

Preventive Maintenance: Conduct routine checks and planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to identify and resolve potential faults before they impact production.
Breakdown Support: Respond swiftly to machinery breakdowns, perform diagnostic troubleshooting, and execute efficient repairs.
Line Efficiency: Carry out seamless machine adjustments, changeovers, and equipment calibrations to maintain top performance, quality, and safety standards.
Continuous Improvement: Collaborate closely with production teams to pinpoint process enhancements and boost overall productivity.
Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate records of maintenance logs, repairs, and spare parts inventory while strictly adhering to Health & Safety guidelines and HACCP principles.

About You

We are looking for a proactive engineer with a strong work ethic, a "can-do" attitude, and the ability to make confident, on-the-spot decisions under pressure.

Essential Requirements:

Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent, such as ONC in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or BTEC Level 3 in Mechanical & Electrical/Electronic Engineering).
Industry Experience: Proven background working with mechanical and electrical systems within an FMCG or high-speed manufacturing environment.
Technical Proficiency: Strong hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial machinery (conveyors, motors, pumps, and packaging equipment).
Knowledge: Familiarity with HACCP principles; an IEE qualification up to the 17th edition wiring regulations is highly advantageous.
Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills, assertiveness, and a proactive approach to equipment reliability.
