The Role

We are currently recruiting sharp, reliable Warehouse Selectors (Ambient / Twilight Shift) on behalf of our market-leading supermarket client (Aldi) at their Darlington Distribution Centre.

In this fast-paced position, you’ll be a crucial link in the supply chain—ensuring store shelves stay fully stocked across the region. Working as part of a close-knit, high-energy team, you will receive pick instructions via a voice headset, accurately assemble store orders on pallets, and prepare shipments for driver collection.

Key Responsibilities

Order Picking: Receive real-time pick instructions via a voice-guided headset system to accurately select stock for individual stores.
Pallet Building: Safely and efficiently stack, load, and secure products onto pallets ready for transport.
Detail & Accuracy: Verify store numbers, check paperwork, and maintain quality standards for every outbound shipment.
Health & Safety: Maintain a clean, organized workspace and strictly adhere to all warehouse safety guidelines.

Skills & Experience Required

Attention to Detail: Sharp focus to ensure correct store numbers, items, and quantities are picked every time.
Physical Stamina: Comfortable standing, walking, and manual handling throughout your shift in an active environment.
Team Player: A reliable, positive attitude with a commitment to supporting your team in achieving daily operational goals.
Communication: Ability to follow clear voice-guided headset system instructions accurately.
Flexibility: Able to work afternoon/twilight hours (2:00 PM start time) on a 5-day rota, including 2 in 3 weekends.
