Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is recruiting on behalf of a specialist residential care service in Rothwell Haigh, Leeds, for an experienced and compassionate Senior Support Worker.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a dedicated team supporting adults with autism, learning disabilities, and complex needs while taking on a leadership role that makes a genuine difference every day.

The residential service provides person-centred support for adult males with a range of support needs, including:

Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
Learning disabilities
Complex needs
Mild to moderate behaviours that may challenge

The Role

As a Senior Support Worker, you will lead by example, supervise the care team, and ensure the delivery of high-quality, person-centred support. You will play a key role in coordinating daily operations while promoting independence, dignity, and positive outcomes for the people you support.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and supervise the delivery of person-centred care and support.
Provide leadership during shifts, including handovers and task allocation.
Support residents to achieve their personal goals and participate in meaningful activities.
Conduct staff supervisions and support team development.
Administer medication safely in accordance with policies and procedures.
Assist with managing residents' finances in line with organisational guidelines.
Maintain accurate care records, reports, and documentation.
Ensure compliance with safeguarding, health & safety, and regulatory standards.
Support and motivate colleagues while promoting best practice.
Maintain a safe, positive, and supportive living environment.

What We're Looking For

Previous experience as a Support Worker or Senior Support Worker is essential.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Ability to supervise, coach, and motivate team members.
Good understanding of person-centred care, safeguarding, and care standards.
Reliable, flexible, and proactive approach to problem-solving.
Compassionate, respectful, and committed to delivering high-quality care.
Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
