Work in a children’s home that makes a positive, lasting difference to children’s lives. This role is ideal for experienced Residential Workers or Youth Workers, as well as those with no previous experience who are looking to build a rewarding career in residential care. Who We Are Looking For

The Requirements:

Age: Must be 22 years of age or older (to meet Ofsted regulations).
License: Holds a valid manual driving licence.
Attributes: Caring, compassionate, and able to build positive relationships.
Resilience: Possesses the ability to remain calm in challenging situations.

Industry-Leading Training Provided:

If you don't have prior experience, we will give you the tools to succeed. Our Skills to Care induction includes:

Two separate weeks of classroom-based training.
A full week of shadow shifts to prepare you for the role.
Fully Funded Qualification: We will support you to achieve your Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare within your first 12 months, boosting your career progression and development with Compass.

The Role: What You Will Do

Compass Homes are built around accepting a child as they are in a non-judgemental way. You will allow our children to experience childhood, build self-esteem, and accept themselves as they transition into adulthood.

Support & Activities: Facilitate children’s activities and appointments, supporting them in all aspects of daily life.
Care & Safeguarding: Ensure their health and wellbeing, maintaining high levels of supervision and support where required.
Home Environment: Support the wider team with domestic tasks such as cleaning, cooking, and food shopping.
Administration: Help create timetables, manage paperwork, and write daily reports.
