Job Title: School Cleaner (Grade 1) – Facilities Cleaning

Client: Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council

Location: Bryn Celynnog Bungalow, Penycoedcae Rd, Beddau, Pontypridd, CF38 2AE

Pay Rate: £13.45 per hour (PAYE)

Employment Type: Temporary (28 Weeks)

Start Date: 01 September 2026

Hours: 10 hours per week (Term Time Only)

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM – 8:00 AM

IR35 Status: Inside IR35

📋 Key Responsibilities

You will be assigned a specific area of the school to maintain to a high standard of cleanliness daily. Tasks include:

Sanitising Restrooms: Cleaning and disinfecting toilets, sinks, flooring, soap dispensers, hand dryers, cubicles, and pipework.

General Area Cleaning: Vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and dusting skirting boards, window sills, desks, and shelves across classrooms, corridors, offices, and halls.

Sports & Changing Areas: Sanitising shower areas, cubicles, and changing rooms.

Staff Rooms: Cleaning and sanitising sinks, work surfaces, flooring, and furniture.

Waste Management: Emptying waste bins throughout designated areas.

Equipment Use: Operating cleaning machinery (e.g., scrubber dryer machines) where provided.

Full training will be provided for all equipment and procedures.

🎯 Candidate Requirements

Reliability & Punctuality: Must be able to commit consistently to early morning shifts (6:00 AM – 8:00 AM).

DBS Check: An enhanced DBS check is required for this role due to working within an educational environment.

Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain clean, safe, and hygienic environments for staff and pupils.
