Key Responsibilities

Work clinically as part of the active rota, providing expert clinical oversight and supporting the nursing team during shifts.
Ensure the fertility unit operates safely, efficiently, and effectively, upholding the highest standards of patient-centered care at all times.
Act as the key point of contact and operational leader in the absence of the Clinical Services Manager.
Assist with daily staff allocation, rotas, and the management of safe staffing levels and appropriate skill mix across the unit.
Support the recruitment, onboarding, and retention of nursing and support staff.
Oversee the fair and efficient management of annual leave, study leave, and sickness absence.

Candidate Requirements

Registration: Registered Nurse (Adult) with valid, active NMC registration.
Experience: Significant background working within a ward, inpatient, critical care, or specialized clinical environment, backed by prior leadership or supervisory experience.
Knowledge & Skills: Good understanding of governance, patient safety, and clinical protocols, alongside strong communication, organizational, and leadership capabilities.
Desirable Criteria: Postgraduate qualification in a relevant specialty or critical care nursing; leadership or management qualification; ILS/ALS certification; previous experience working in private healthcare or multi-specialty inpatient settings.
