Occupational Therapist Assistant

Supportive Bridge Staffing & Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of Elysium Healthcare for an Occupational Therapist Assistant to join Spring Wood Lodge in Leeds, West Yorkshire, UK.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Occupational Therapist Assistant to support women with complex mental health needs and personality disorders within a specialist rehabilitation service. Working under the guidance of a qualified Occupational Therapist, you will help deliver therapeutic activities that promote recovery, independence, and improved wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

Support Occupational Therapists with assessments and therapeutic interventions.
Assist in planning and delivering individual and group therapy sessions.
Build positive relationships with service users to encourage engagement.
Monitor and record service users' progress and maintain accurate documentation.
Support the implementation and review of individual care plans.
Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to achieve recovery goals.
Encourage independence and participation in meaningful daily activities.
Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for all service users.

Requirements

GCSEs or equivalent qualifications (or relevant NVQ Level 2).
Previous experience in a mental health or similar healthcare setting.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Compassionate and patient-centred approach.
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Passion for supporting people through rehabilitation and recovery.
